Parent Portal

The Parent Portal module empowers parents with their childrens’ information to allow them to become more involved with their childrens’ education at your school.

Parent Portal is web based system that gives parents secure access to their childrens’ data stored on iSAMS. Unlike other competitor’s products, the Parent Portal’s data is 100% dynamic and up to date. This is because it takes data direct from the iSAMS database so no uploading or copying is required.

Parents simply have to register to use the module – entering bank security style information sent to them and when they return simply enter a username and password. Once authorised, Parents can then review what the school has allowed them to see – such as: registration, attendance, reports, assessment results, timetable and other options. Schools can choose what they wish parents to see. This can be achieved at a school level but also at a year, form and individual pupil basis. You can choose data from any module – be it reports to assessments to discipline information. There are also facilities to allow the parents to keep their contact information current.

Included, is the facility to use automatic email updates so parents can be alerted when new information is available. For example when a child’s report is available or when the child is missing during registration.

The Parent Portal also comes with communication and discussion facilities such as – Conferencing, Chat, Knowledge Base, Forums and Discussion Groups to help parents communicate with the school and if allowed, other parents!
